Artist's Commentary:
They love you unconditionally, no matter what you’ve done or how bad you might look.  They are always happy to see you and offer you kisses at the front door….That’s how dogs earned the title of “Man’s Best Friend.”  People form a strong bond with their animals that is often stronger than those with some humans.  After all, our animals know just when we need a cold nose or lick of support or, perhaps, soft fur for our tears to land on.  They make life’s heartaches a little easier to bear and are always ready to celebrate the triumphs. 
This piece is a tribute to our loving, faithful companions in every size, shape and color.
