"My initial concept for this piece was based on Moses leading people in the desert to the Promised Land. I thought that it would be funny to have a young couple asking Jesus for directions to the Promised Land and he points them to Las Vegas. This piece would not have worked using any other city than Las Vegas because it is known as Sin City and everyone can relate to having had a “sinful” time in Vegas at one point or another.
People read all different types of meanings into this artwork, so it really is open to interpretation, but it has become my signature piece—one man even showed me the tattoo of it he got on his arm."
Limited edition pieces are owned by the mayor of Las Vegas, Teller (Penn & Teller) and many well known comedians. One now hangs in Barry Manilow’s dressing room at the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas where he performs.
